COLLABORATE

I have over 25 years of experience in community engagement, participatory action research, popular education, leadership development, critical pedagogy, and systems change. Drawing from my experience designing equity strategies within institutions and my community organizing experience, I work in partnership with community based organizations, student groups, school districts, colleges, universities, and architecture firms to introduce and use critical theories.

To support student leadership, equity initiatives, and critical pedagogies…

I work closely with students as collaborators and co-researchers to understand and use critical socio-spatial theories as an equity lens to analyze and transform local issues, institutional practices, and built environments.

I facilitate interactive trainings and praxis-oriented workshops for teams to build community, support critical discourse, raise awareness, and explore new practices in service to equity, inclusion, and social justice. Sessions combine storytelling, case studies, research findings, critical questions, and pedagogical exercises.

I partner with educational institutions and planning and design teams to co-create and facilitate equity-driven and CRT-informed approaches to community engagement in capital projects.
